"Sexy Music" is a 1981 single taken from Irish female vocal group The Nolans' 1980 album ''Making Waves'', and later hit by Japanese idol duo Wink. The Nolans' version was released as a single in Japan in April 1981 after winning the Tokyo Music Festival a few days prior to this. It was cut from the album exclusively in Japan to be released as a 7-inch single and a LP containing rearrangements of tracks from ''Making Waves'' and ''Nolan Sisters'', gaining commercial success with about 270,000 copies sold. In 1984, the music was adopted by a Taiwanese singer Fei Xiang in a song called "冬天里的一把火" (Winter Fire). In 1987 he performed this song in CCTV's new year gala. The song became an instant hit, and he sold 2 million albums that year containing this song. In 1990, Wink recorded the cover version sung in the Japanese lyrics written by Neko Oikawa. Their interpretation was released as a single in March 1990 and provided the duo with their fifth and last number-one spot on the Japanese hit parade.
